In the video below, I am taking you with me on a 1 hour ferry trip from Split to Rogac on Island Solta. On the day of my trip, the weather was amazing, as you can see, the Sea was calm and the sun was shining, what more can you wish for! 🤗
Where at the Port do I find the ferry to Rogac?
The car ferry from Split to Rogac usually departs from berth No. 21 or 23, but I have also seen it depart from berth No. 13. The Fast ferry departs from lower berth numbers, usually 5-7 or 10 to 12.
If you travel by car, you have fixed signs and electronic boards guiding you from the beginning of the port area. The electronic boards are the most important to keep an eye on when arriving at the port.
In doubt, you always have staff on the port who you can ask for directions.
On our trip, we arrived at the port 20 minutes before the scheduled departure time and ended up in the last waiting line, so if your goal is to board first with your car, you should come at least 40 minutes before the departure time.
Bear in mind that in the peak season, you have lots of daily ferry departures to many different destinations, so even reaching the port can take quite some time.

Boarding the ferry to Rogac.
Boarding the car ferry is easy, but often I end up in a spot on the car deck, where I can hardly exit my car, but as you can see in the video, this time I got a great spot on the car deck..
The boarding order is the following
- Foot passengers
- Large trucks and buses
- Cars
This means that car passengers will be the last ones to enter the salon and the outside area. If you’re traveling with more people, I recommend buying separate tickets — one for the driver and the car, and another one for the remaining passengers. That way, the passengers can board first and grab some good seats.
As opposed to the car ferry from Split to Supetar, the ferry to Rogac can only be boarded with a ticket for the specific departure, meaning if you bought a ticket for the e.g. 11 am ferry, you can only board that one with your ticket
