Brac Beaches

The Golden Horn Beach (Zlatni Rat) is the symbol of Brač and one of the most famous beaches in Croatia. However, Brač has many great beaches, not only in Bol but all around the island.

During my last visit to Brač, I visited beaches in all the holiday villages on the island. My trip included pebble, rocky, and sandy beaches. Below, you can find information about the beaches, such as GPS coordinates, beach type, how to get there, parking, expected crowds, suitability for kids, photos, and more.

In my video, you can see me visiting the best beaches on the island.

Beaches in Bol

Bol has a lot of beaches, so no matter where you are staying, you should be able to reach one on foot. Below, you will find detailed information about the most popular beaches in town.

Golden Horn Beach (Zlatni Rat)

Of course, we start our Brač beach guide with the most famous beach on the island, the Golden Horn.

The Golden Horn Beach is situated on the south side of the island of Brač, about 2 km west of the town of Bol.

The beach is the number one beach day destination on any Croatian island. Many people take the fast ferry from Split to Bol just to spend a day here.

The key trademark of Zlatni Rat Beach is its distinctive horn shape, naturally created by the winds blowing through the area. The beach is a protected natural phenomenon, meaning man-made changes are not allowed.

These winds are also the reason why Zlatni Rat is a windsurfing and kitesurfing mecca in Croatia. Near the beach, there are several surf schools and places where you can rent surf equipment.

However, the really great beaches in Supetar are the following:
