Navigating the ferry port in Split, Croatia

Today we are exploring the largest ferry port in Croatia. Getting around can be tricky, especially if this is your first time in the city. Join me as we walk along the piers, and follow these tips when going to nearby islands like Brac, Hvar, Vis, Korcula, and others.

As announced in my video, here is some more detailed information about the Ferry Port Split.

About Split Ferry Port

The Split Ferry Port is by far the biggest in Croatia. It has 27 berths and covers the entire eastern part of the Split port basin.

Berth No. 1 can be found directly at the Riva (The seaside promenade) and the last berth (No. 27) is at the pier outside of the port basin.

Berths Nos. 1 to 12 are usually where the fast ferries/foot passenger-only ferries are found, whereas car ferries are usually at berths No. 13 to 25. The last two berths are normally occupied by Cruise ships visiting Split.

As I mentioned in my Video, two electronic displays at the port show the departure berth No. for each ferry, the displays are located at the Sveti Petra Pier and in front of the Terminal Building.

There is no central point at the port where you can buy tickets, each of the ferry companies has its own sales outlets at the port.

All companies listed above have online sales. if you are traveling to destinations like Dubrovnik, Bol, or Hvar Town, where 3 of the companies operate, it is easier to check timetables at a website like GetByFerry.com, which has all the departures listed. (Disclaimer: I used to be the CEO of the company that made GetByFerry.)

If you follow my YouTube channel, you probably have noticed that I quite often travel by ferry from Split, Below you can see some of my Ferry videos from Split Port.
