In the video above, I walk you through the travel options from Split Airport to Split city center, I explain how to get the super saver 1.5 € ticket to Split, and I show you where to board the different services.
The Information from the Video, as well as some additional tips, can be read here.
Travel options from the Airport
From the airport itself, you have three main travel options: taxi, private transfer (pre-booked), or the official airport shuttle. Just outside the airport premises, you’ll find city buses and rideshare options and, in some cases, even private boat transfers.
The distance to the center of Split is 24 km, with a travel time ranging from 30 minutes to nearly an hour, depending on the transport service.

Airport to City Center by Shuttle
Shuttle buses from the airport to the city center (Split Bus Station) are operated by Pleso Prijevoz year-round. As I showed in the video, the shuttle departs right outside the terminal’s main exit.
The airport shuttle drives from the airport to the main intercity bus station in Split, which is directly in the center of town, next to the ferry port and train station, and a short walk to the Palace and the main promenade in Split.
Timetable Shuttle
There is, in principle, no fixed schedule for the airport bus when it drives from the airport (To the airport there is)
From June to September, between 8 AM and 8 PM, the shuttle bus runs every 30 minutes. In the evening, it departs 30 minutes after each plane’s arrival.
In most other months, the buses depart 30 minutes after each plane’s arrival.
Price Airport Shuttle
As you may have seen in my video, I paid €8 for a one-way adult ticket. What I forgot to mention is that during the season, the price is €10—sorry about that!🤔
You can buy a ticket online here. The ticket is valid for any departure during the day.
You can also buy a ticket from the driver as I did, paying with cash or a card.

Airport to City Center by Local Bus
There are 3 city bus lines from the airport to Split’s center: lines No. 2, 37, and 38. All buses depart from the bus stop on the main road passing by the airport. (If needed, check my Video where I walked from the terminal to the bus stop).
Bus No. 37 drives between Trogir and the city bus terminal in Split Sukoišan, and from the stop at the airport to the city bus terminal, it follows the old road and has a driving time of about 50-60 minutes.
Bus No. 38 drives between the airport and the city bus terminal in Split Sukoišan, and from the stop at the airport to the city bus terminal, it follows the old road and has a driving time of about 50-60 minutes.

NOTE: For the two above-mentioned lines, the end station in Split Sukoišan is about 1 km from the Old Town.
Bus No. 2 runs between the airport and Pazar in Split, just 100 meters from the Old Town. It follows the new road and has a driving time of approximately 45–55 minutes.
On weekdays, one of the three mentioned lines departs every 20 minutes during the day, while on weekends, departures are every 30 minutes. You can find timetables here.
Price for the city bus Airport to Split
As I mentioned in my video, the city buses are often full and not suitable if you carry a large suitcase!
But if you travel light, you can buy a ticket from the driver, which will cost you 3€, or as I would recommend, you download the Promet Split App (Also useful for travel within Split): Android here, IOS here. The price for a ticket in the App is 1.5 € (All tickets in the app are half price).

Airport to Split by Taxi or Rideshare
Taxis are located to the left, outside the terminal’s main exit. Travel time with a taxi is 30 minutes.
Official price for taxi to Split center 50-55 €
Rideshare
Wizi, Bolt, and Uber are the rideshare services available from Split Airport; the pick-up location is usually at the bus stop on the main road.
The price for the rideshare varies depending on demand; as I am writing this, the cheapest price in the rideshare apps is 27€ for a 4-person vehicle and 48€ for a 7-person van, and as demand is low at this time of the year, prices would probably be higher in the summer.

Airport to Split by Private Transfer
In the Split area, many companies offer private transfer services from the airport.
The driver will wait for you with a name sign where you exit the customs. The driver will then escort you to the main parking area, where the vehicle is parked.
Price Private Transfer
The price for a transfer to Split varies depending on where you book. A company I have been satisfied with is GoToSplit. They charge 38€ for a 4-person vehicle and 48€ for an 8-person van
