Zadar Ferry Ports

In the video below, I show you the two ferry ports in Zadar. Zadar Gazenica is the car ferry port located southeast of the town center, and it is the old town ferry port from where passenger ferries depart.

About Zadar Ferry Ports

Combined, the two Zadar ferry ports are the most well-connected in Croatia. More than 15 islands in the Zadar Archipelago and 25 destinations can be reached by ferry from Zadar. Most destinations can be reached by car ferry from the Gaženica port and by fast ferry from the old town port.

The two ports combined yearly handle more than 2.5 million passengers and nearly 600,000 vehicles.

Gaženica ferry port

Here’s your text with grammatical corrections, keeping your style intact:

The Gaženica ferry and cruise port is among the busiest ports in Croatia. The port has a total of 12 berths, with berths 1 to 7 mainly used for local ferries, berths 8 and 9 for international ferries, and berths 10 to 12 for cruise ships.

Additionally, there are a few unnumbered berths assigned to purposes other than passenger traffic.

The ferry port is located at the address Gaženička cesta, 23000 Zadar, approximately 4 km from the old town peninsula.

At the port, there is a large terminal building, used mainly for international and cruise ship purposes. The building also houses a large sales office of Jadrolinija as well as several coffee bars. The facility also includes large outdoor parking areas and a bus pickup area for cruise ship passengers.

The part of the port used for domestic ferries has a well-marked lane system, with ticket booths next to the lanes.

The Gaženica Port can be reached with city bus line No. 9, which runs to the bus station in Zadar.

If you arrive via the Croatian highway, you will find signs guiding you directly to the ferry port, as I showed in my video.

Below, you will find a list of ferry connections from Zadar Gaženica Port.

Old Town Ferry Port

The Old Town ferry port in Zadar is located next to the city walls on the northeast side of the old town. Additionally, there is a berth for cruise and luxury ships at the end of the old town.

The ferries are located towards the end of the old town peninsula on the northeastern side. There are no marked berths, but you should have no problem locating your ferry.

Tickets for Ferries from Zadar

As mentioned in my video, from the Gaženica port, only Jadrolinija operates. You can buy tickets online for their departures, at the sales booth next to the waiting lanes, or in their large ticket office at the terminal building.

For ferries from the Old Town Port, you can also buy tickets on the website of the operator. Alternatively, each operator has a physical ticket office near the departure location.

Regardless of whether you buy online or at the ticket office, the price is the same. To save time at the port, buying online would be my preferred option.

What address do I give the taxi driver to get to the old town ferry port

    1. Hi, the address of where the ferries depart from the old town is Liburnska obala.

But i would recommend you to take a Uber or Bolt, there you can select the exact location in the app on a map

If you take a taxi just tell him ferry old town Liburnska obala

      Kindest regards,

      Morten
