Zadar is by no means a shopping mecca, but you can, of course, find everything you need in terms of food, groceries, clothes, electronics, and everything else you would expect from a tourist city with over 70.000 people.
In the video below, I take you to the main green market and fish market. I will also show you the shops in the old town and some of the shopping malls in Zadar.
Below, I provide you with more details in relation to Shopping in Zadar.
Green Market and Fish Markets in Zadar
If you feel like cooking during your holiday, be sure to visit one of Zadar’s seven green markets and the fish market, where you’ll find a variety of locally grown vegetables and fruit, as well as freshly caught fish!
In the video above, we visit the main green market and fish market, both located in Zadar’s old town; the other markets are located in neighborhoods throughout the town. On the website of Tržanica Zadar (Markets Zadar), you can see the location of all the markets, and you will also find information about the produce currently sold at the different markets.

Near the markets in the old town, you can also find several stands selling clothes and souvenirs.
Note: The best time to visit any of the fresh food markets is early in the morning, preferably before 10 am.
Payment options: not all places accept cards, so I recommend bringing cash
