Dubrovnik Ferry and Cruise Ship Port

In this video, I’ll take you through the ferry port and cruise ship port in Dubrovnik. Every year, over 1.2 million people travel to or from Dubrovnik by ferry or cruise ship.

In this blog post, I have listed all the information from the Video as well as additional details I think might be helpful when travelling to or from Dubrovnik by ferry or Cruise ship.

Dubrovnik Ferry Port

The Dubrovnik Ferry Port is located 2.8 km from the Old Town, in the Gruž district. The official address is Obala Ivana Pavla II 1, 20000 Dubrovnik.

The port itself is quite small, with only 6 or 7 berths, stretching over an area of 300-400 meters, making it very easy to navigate.

Facilities at the port are limited. The main port building isn’t particularly relevant for most travelers as no tickets are sold there. Instead, it houses the Customs Office, Harbour Master’s Office, Dubrovnik Port Authorities, Tourist Office Gruž, a coffee bar, and public toilets.

The rest of the port is mostly used for parking and waiting lines for car ferries.

Each year, the Dubrovnik Ferry Port handles around 600,000 passengers.

City bus stops and a taxi stand are located on the main road right in front of the ferry port.

Tickets for Dubrovnik Ferries

There are four ferry companies operating from Dubrovnik Ferry Port, and all of them sell tickets online. You can find their websites here.

There is no central ticket outlet at the port. TP Line has a small ticket stand near the fast ferry departure point, Jadrolinija has a ticket office on the main street next to Mlinar Bakery, and Kapetan Luka has a ticket office on Obala Stjepana Radića Street, less than 100 meters from the fast ferry departure area.

Dubrovnik Cruise Port

The Dubrovnik Cruise Port is located at the far end of the main port in Dubrovnik, about 3.5 km from the Old Town and the Dubrovnik City Walls. Its official address is Obala Ivana Pavla II 46-47.

The port can accommodate several large cruise ships at once. If you’re entering the city from the north via the Franjo Tuđman Bridge, you’ll immediately get a glimpse of how many cruise ships are docked, which also gives you a pretty good idea of how crowded the city is going to be. 😉

If you arrive by cruise ship and want to explore Dubrovnik on your own, city buses run from the main road right in front of the cruise port. Additionally, taxis, Uber, Wizi, and Bolt are available for pickup just a short walk from the port.
